Babol Noshirvani University of Technology Shines Among Top 500 Engineering Universities Globally by Times Higher Education by-subject rankings

According to the subject-based rankings by Times Higher Education (THE), Babol Noshirvani University of Technology has secured its place among the world's top 500-401 engineering universities, and it stands as the sixth-ranking university in Iran in the field of engineering. The subject areas encompass a wide spectrum of engineering disciplines, including general engineering, computer science, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, civil engineering, and chemical engineering. Moreover, in the realm of physical sciences, which encompasses various subjects such as astronomy and astrophysics, chemistry, crystallography, earth sciences, mathematics and statistics, meteorology and atmospheric sciences, nanotechnology, physical polymer science, physics, and various other areas, the university holds a global position within the 400-301 range and claims the top spot in Iran.

It is noteworthy that, as per this ranking, only 45 Iranian universities are included among the top 1,370 engineering universities worldwide.

Times Higher Education employs a reputable international framework for evaluating and ranking higher education institutions. This ranking system, in operation since 2004, utilizes 13 key indicators categorized into five overarching criteria: teaching, research, citations, international influence, and industry collaboration.
