Meeting on Cooperation in the Caspian Sea Region Held at MSRT’s Center for Scientific and International Cooperation — December 17, 2025
The meeting, attended by representatives from partner universities and institutions affiliated with the Caspian Sea Association, included remarks by Dr. Yekeh Yazdandoost, Director of the Center, who emphasized the strategic significance of international and technological cooperation undertaken by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) in the Caspian Sea region.
In view of current and anticipated developments—most notably Iran’s forthcoming hosting of the Seventh Summit of the Caspian Littoral States in August 2026—the meeting identified its primary objective as the formulation of an institutional framework and a coherent action plan, firmly anchored in academic and research collaboration among the participating universities.
Participants subsequently shared their perspectives and proposals. Representing BNUT, Dr. Ghoreishy highlighted the university’s capacity to engage in joint scientific and industrial projects related to the Caspian Sea. She pointed to the institution’s strong research quality ranking as a testament to its academic achievements and emphasized that, with financial support commensurate to that provided for collaborative initiatives with international faculty, both students and alumni would be considerably more motivated to participate actively in such endeavors.
